Updates, and stuff

So, true to form, I am behind schedule.

Most notable, because the damn waterbed absolutely refuses to drain. Now yesterday, during the day, I would hae been able to solve this problem by picking up an electric pump, something I’ve been meaning to get for, I don’t know, 12 years?

But I didn’t, since I had a “free” pump in the form of the gravity/suction valve system.

Until it stops working, that is.

So I worked around it, and somehow was at it a full 13 hours before I realized all that I had accomplished.

So, other than completely packing the office, I did about 80% of everything on my list. I also tweaked my ankle something fierce, and I’m not exactly sure where, or doing what.

Today, I’ll be shopping for a pump, cashing in the 20-some pounds of change riding in my satchel, finish packing my shirts (Friday I launderd everything, yesterday I made the “final” cuts on what to keep/donate/gift, and packed those things I would not want to wear in the next few weeks), pack the remainder of the miscellany (about 7 boxes total, but they’re the “last boxes”), and hopefully relaxing and watching some movies.

I decided to hook both TIVO to the main set, out in the living room. I also fired up the new DVD player, which works like a charm. I did not hook up the new stereo, although I did take possession, and it was exactly as advertised.

I set out some of my old media storage racks for “free” yesterday, and they went in three stages. I resisted mightily the urge to pick up a small entertainment center for “free”.

I also disassembled, re-assembled, ignored, and then hooked up my computer.

I’m not at it now. The reason why is that absent of an alarm clock, I will usually get up around 6:30 in the morning. It is very annoying to me that on the weekends, when I can get a more or less “normal” sleep cycle, I wake up earlier than I do on a workday.

It also means the rest of the world is not open, nor on my schedule.

So I’m at the Sureshot, waiting for a) the coinstar machines to become operational at 10 AM, b) the hardware store to open so that I may complete repairs to my futon (90% sure I’m going to keep it), and c) the first of the three last ditch hope vendors for a waterbed pump opens at 11. I’ll also be picking up assorted cleaning supplies today while out and about.

There’s some other things I’d write, but my back is with the hurting, so I’m goign to drink my coffee and read my book.

More later.
