On the Uses of Panic

1On Tuesday night I approved last proof of Seasons of Truth. I’ve made all the changes there are to make. I resisted even more tiny text tweaks, and committed myself to a book which can stand up well on its own.

There was an unintended consequence to this approval. I kinda sorta published the book.

For real.

It turns out that saying yes to the press means just that, and the book immediately went live in the createspace e-store. Within 12 hours, there was an amazon.com product page, and the book is now wending it’s way onto websites pretty much everywhere.

The two weeks of slow reveals I had planned evaporated in an instant, and you know what? I’m okay with that. The sinking feeling in my gut, the spins, the “what the hell do I do nows?”, none of those matter now.

The book is real now. It’s happening.

And I ordered a whole bunch of copies for my nefarious plans.

If you feel you absolutely have to have a print copy of the book RIGHT NOW, go ahead. I won’t stop you. Heck, I bought one myself, and it will arrive in a couple days. But if you can wait a couple weeks, I’ve got a few promotional opportunities that I think you might like. I’m saving the big reveal for next week, but if you wait a bit I’ll definitely make it worth your while.

The official, “no really, I mean it” release date of Seasons of Truth is May 26, 2015. By then, it should be available in any catalog, anywhere, and our dance with destiny will begin in earnest. Until then, I’m continuing to promote the ebook versions(s) on amazon.com, of which Summer is the latest FREE installment. These versions of the book are good reads in their own right, and I encourage any and all lovers of weird fiction to pick Summer up for FREE this week, and see just what’s in store for your brain.

Thanks again for your support, and I hope to see you over a signing table soon.
