So here’s the deal. The special features on this disc helped transform an awful movie experience into an almost average one, nearly enjoyable.

So did all the wine I was drinking while I watched.

The movie’s just as ridiculous as it was the last time I saw it, but the special effects refresh in 2004 to the Renegade Version cut do make things a bit better.

That having been said, this is a bad movie. It is not good, and I didn’t expect it to be going in.

It’s worth what I paid for it (nothing), and there’s a better than zero chance I’ll watch it again.

In 2024, where the movie is set.

I am looking forward to the modern reboot with Henry Cavill. I am also looking forward to revisiting the TV series.
