<p class="wp-block-paragraph">TL;DR Another supposed classic to cross off my list.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Trip Report: Takes a long time to get where it needs to be. In this (very) dark comedy masquerading as a love story, the supporting cast is far more sympathetic than Cusack, who saved all his best lines as a co-writer until the last 20 minutes.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><a></a>However, the slow revelations from and about our very unreliable narrator work, as does his inability to fucking listen to the answers given by his not-so-evil exes to his early mid-life crisis questions.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Like SAY ANYTHING, this is almost an anti-Cusack movie, which is borne out by the extensive special features on the disk.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You’ll note far fewer comments on this one than I usually leave. The movie grabbed me and pulled me in, even when I didn’t like it.</p>
