Subject: updated rosters/draft pool, 6/5, etc
Hi:
Looks like the current wave of trades and moves is done. Attached is the
most current draft pool and roster file.
Incidentally, the revenue pool is now at $291. By comparison, the total
for the whole season last year was $246. Even counting in the smaller
league last year, this is a pretty big difference. Just moving all the
players currently on the DL back into their roster spots, with
accompanying cuts, will push us well over the $300 mark. (Breakdown for
the payout at the season's end is 1st place: 50%, 2nd place: 30%, 3rd
place 20%.)
Other news:
* Don't forget to cast your vote on the proposed eligibility rule change.
* We need to decide how to handle the re-drafting of players who have
been cut. It isn't quite fair to let these go first come/first serve, as
that rewards whoever happens to be online when the cut is announced.
Unless there are objections, what I'm planning is for all teams to have
48 hours after a player is placed back in the draft pool to indicate
their desire to draft that player. At the end of the 48 hours, we will
determine who gets first crack at the player by dice roll, highest
number gets first option. (I'll do the dice rolling, unless I am in the
competition for the player--if that happens, another non-competing owner
will do the honors.) If no team indicates interest, the player goes back
in the draft pool and will then be subject to the usual first come/first
serve draft rules.
Finally, if you are concerned about me receiving e-mail from you about a
draft or move, send it return receipt. You can also call my home office
phone (262 821-1134) and leave a message. (The phone rings down here and
nowhere else in the house, so you can call any time.)
Cheers,
Jim Lowder
