DATE: 20 June 2004 FROM: Jim Lowder TO: League Owners RE: ROTO STANDINGS THROUGH 6/20 Hey: I managed to get all me work done this evening, so I kicked out another points report. (I get faster at this the more I do it.) Nothing much changed in the standings, but there are several teams talking trades, so I thought the updated numbers might be useful. Remember, though, checked once a week like this, the stats--esp. for pitchers--are very volatile. A new roster/draft pool file is ready, too. If you have pending moves, get them done before Wednesday afternoon, if possible. Also, if you have a player on the DL who might come off this week--like Delgado for the Cards--please log a move with me ASAP if you want it triggered when the player comes off the DL. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers, The Commish Here are the current standings:
The number after the team name is the team’s previous ranking. The HR/HRa stat is home runs your team has hit and home runs your pitching staff has allowed. Remember, these are home runs hit by the players on your current roster. The Phillies close to within 15 points of the Astros in the skirmish for second place, but fall a whopping .5 additional points behind the Red Sox. (Now that Clemens has fallen off a bit on his own, money set up for the Clemens Sniper Fund will be transferred to the Jim Thome Thumb Screw Trust.) Mike Hampton, number one SP of the Braves, gets the Jose Contreras Sucking Void Award this time. His point generation is down to .50 total points for the season to date. (Runner up for the JCSVA is Bartolo Colon, number one SP for the Angels, with 21 points to date.) Still, even with three players (LaRoche, Giles, and Peavy) gaining zero points, and Hampton’s woes, the Braves manage to keep pace—in fact, pick up almost 40 points on the Cards. Yikes. # # # |
