S.W.A.T.
Okay, okay. Set your hypocrisy filters to high, because I really enjoyed this movie. It was a good, old fashioned cop movie, unpretentious, and not over the top. It dealt with cops trying to get a handle on a situation well beyond their resources, with only their wits to survive.
Really, it was Rio Bravo with automatic weapons, which is probably one of the reasons I really liked it. the violence was there, but not excessive, Woo-level violence. There was even a comment on the absurdity of Woo-style action, which is best appreciated when you take a step back, and admire the choreography of a scene, rather than its truth.
The people all had problems, they dealt with them, and sequels would be as easy as writing out contracts.
Maybe they’ll do the Searchers next.
Oh, Yes. I almost forgot.
Samuel.
L.
Freakin’ Jackson.
Putting him in your movie is like deep frying cake icing over icecream in coconut oil.
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!
