Champs, or Chumps

Against my will, I have just become a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

No matter the circumstance, no matter the opponents, I cannot root for the current collection of whiners and slackers that make up the Red Sox line-up.

Maybe not the whole 25 man roster. But enough to make rooting for the team as a whole a non-starter. The sophomoric antics of those boys just turns me off.

I don’t believe in a curse. I don’t believe in clutch hitting, impact players , or productive outs. And I really don’t believe in “destiny,” or the tired, Red Sox mantra of , “it’s our year.”

Bullcrap.

Suck= suck. Now, it’s down to rotations, and RBI. And the Cards have the edge in both.

Cards in 5. I’ll grant Shilling a win, because he is one of my personal favorites. I’m too old to have heroes, especially ones that can relate to me on a peer level. Plus, he’s a gamer. As a designer of stuff, I can’t root against my brother. Not one bit.
