Holy Crap

My friend Joe has been working his way through the Medifast plan, and the results are simply astounding.

I’m not Joe. I’m bigger. And I like Beer an awful lot. But this is actually less than I spend on food currently, an amazingly strong selling point for me. I’ve been losing weight steadily with the discipline I’m on now, but not at these rates.

I’m totally doing this, as soon as my life settles down some. Because if I tried it now, I’d most certainly kill somebody. I’m not looking to go as low as Joe is, I’d be happy dropping to around his start weight. If the remaining me is athletic and healthy again, that is. Today, I was fully prepared to buy a bicycle and begin my rides each workday. But when the lowest price tag in the store was more than the medifast, I balk, and get dissillusioned.

It’s hard to be cheap in today’s society. But nothing is worth the prices in that store. I need a$100 bike, and I don’t want to spend more than $50 or so on peripherals.

But this food deal, I’d sure like to try it for a month.
