Day 2
Not perfect, but damn near.
For once, I actually took them in order
Orange and Pinapple Smoothie
Combine the following ingredients into a blender:
4-6 oz. of Orange Juice
1 cup of Non Fat Milk
1/2 Banana
4 Ice Cubes
Several Pineapple Chunks
2 Tablespoons “Vanilla Extract” (as a sweetener)
Blend ingredients and enjoy.
You may withhold any of the above ingredients if you wish, you are not required to use all of the ingredients. You may also use more or less of each ingredient, the above is just a “guideline” and may be changed (you’ll find the right amounts for your own liking by experimenting).

I frequently grab this from Jamba Juice after a session of Chiropractic, but today that was not optimal. Read on for why. C-Monster From Odwalla served nicely in its place, with the added bonus of being half the “dosage” I normally consume. About the same price, though. I should look at getting the 16 oz version all the time, it seems to do the trick.
Odwalla Juices have made this whole process very bearable. Sometimes, I go for a fluid only day when presented with “fruit and vegetable only day” But that’s day 6. Mustn’t skip ahead now.
Lean Ground Beef

No need to repost the rules from Day One, but the turkey this go-round is not as lean as I normally have. The Store was out of the package I normally get (1.25 lbs of 99% fat free meat), so I got the next best thing, Pre-formed turkey burger patties from the same farm/marketing unit. More fat than I would like, but I also prepare it using my Foreman ™ grill, knocking what I don’t want RIGHT OUT!.
I also prepare the normal turkey the same way sometimes, which pretty much makes it a pure protien meal at times. I balance this out by occasionally having this menu item at Fatburger.
Fatburger sells white t-shirts for $2.99. I’m thinking about buying an L on spec, since the large I’m wearing right now fits just fine, as does the large I have on over it.
Chicken [and] Vegetables
How to Prepare: Chicken
Boneless and skinless.
You may prepare chicken in any way you like (such as baked, grilled, broiled, etc). You may use Barbecue Sauce if you like. You may also use any other condiments or seasonings mentioned in the diet rules.
How to Prepare: Vegetables
Either frozen or fresh vegetables are allowed. You should make sure that at least 3 different vegetables are combined together in the bowl.

Pretty much the only reason I left the house today was to see my Chiropractor. That, and the fact where he bought me lunch for referring half the office to him in the last 3 months. Half the office that is left, that is. The great irony of this is that I was myself referred by a co-worker, Who would probably have been at lunch with us had he not stopped seeing the doctor the same day we stopped paying him.
Go figure.
Normally, Fat Scott would have gone hog wild over a free meal at Daniel’s Broiler. Fresh seafood appetizers, giant steaks, rich and horseradishy mashed potatoes, Giant rack of wine, etc. Rapidly Decelerating Scott (who is still fat, just with 23% less speed) practiced some fancy brainwork, and saved the one meal he can get anywhere in the United States for this. Mmmm, chicken, and a nice glass of Red Diamond Merlot to wash it down with.
I must admit, I snuck in an extra beverage and a bit of “candy” with a glass of Coffee Daniel’s, which was liberally laced with Drambuie and Grand Marnier. I do believe this was the first Drambuie I have consumed since before becoming a parent. It was quite tasty, and I may pick up a bottle for the liquor cabinet I may start and never drink.
It’s a me thing.
Tuna Salad

Ditto from day one. I left the ballgame in the bottom of the 7th inning, right after an amazing series of plays that tied the game at one all. The M’s were still up to bat.
I left becuase a) I was tired and drowsy. b) it had been 7 hours since my last meal, and I am far more likely to cheat when I am out and about and very hungry, two conditions from which I was presenting symptoms.
It was very tasty.
A couple diet sodas in and around the meals, and a full pitcher of water sits at my elbow now. Part of this week (in addition to not going into work, thinking about work, or doing any work, all of which I did today. But in my defense, I was a little tipsy at the time) is testinig to see if I can maintain proper hydration without the crutch of not wanting to be at my desk for extended periods of time. The main reason I gain any weight at all on my “days off” is that I frequently do nothing but play video games and travel around sightseeing, two activities I “enjoy,” but are a little hard on the water drinking.
Let that one sink in, eh? I’m happy about an aspect of my life. It’s almost like I have one again.
Best $27 I ever spent.
We won the game 5-1, btw. In 10. Once again, the world reels when a manager tries to tell us all that a power hitter will not hit after you load the bases with a walk.
This year, he’s hit 3 grand slams, and has gone 8-12. He still sucks, but the team is better with him than without him.
He’s hitting .224 with 25 Home Runs, and making multi-millions over a guaranteed 5 year deal. Two years ago, we released Hall of Fame hopefull power-hitting First baseman who was hitting .245 with 5 Home runs, after that same player offered to play left field so that the team could sign a player to hit .320 for the remainder of that seson.
One of may bad things that happened to me that summer. But a good thing happened to JO, he signed on with the Yankees and hit .280 for the rest of the year. He also went to the playoffs. he has a career average of .295, and was one of the last two players to seriously challenge .400
The guy we replaced him with for the rest of 04?? Out of baseball entirely. Also, he weighed 270 pounds, and was three inches taller than me.
And you thought this digression was pointless.
