this sucks

So today, I sit at home, with my massively swollen throat , stuffy head, slight fever, and massive sneezing.

In a word, once again I am sick. And just yesterday, I was joking how people who get sick and go to the doctor really get paid more than I do.

Thanks for the raise, boss.

There were meetings today that I really wanted to go to. Plus, when I am sick, I gain weight as my body shuts down to repel boarders.

Joy.

Time to start an alt, I think. After my nap.

Man, and you don’t even have any small children (also fondly referred to as our little germ factories) in the house to catch it from! Liam started preschool yesterday, so we’re really looking forward to this school year’s batch of diseases… Of course, Sean gets infected on a regular basis just by going to the court club nursery while Michael exercises; the latest in this series is a rotovirus, which has been doing lovely things to the diapers for almost a week now. It’s been a heavy laundry week .

I’m sleeping a lot more today, which is somewhat of a good sign. But I’m also about to go outside for the first time in about 40 hours, so who knows how I’ll feel in an hour or so.

At least I’m hydrated. that’s a start.
