It’s a Johnny Cash kind of day
I can’t explain it. I woke up hearing Yoko Kanno’s Inner Universe ( the opening theme to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex), and it’s still in the background. But as I began to type, Johnny’s “Stripes” started playing.
I offer no explanation.
194 this morning, after starting a new Cycle on Thursday at 199. I’m going until at least Friday, but will probably take a shortened break, if I break at all. I have a sneaking suspicion I’d like to be done on or around December 10th, which would mark 8 months from my start date. That means this cycle and one more. I’m very, very close. Close enough that working out is really a good idea, if I want to throw myself back into that lifestyle.
The nearest pool to me is in Greenlake, although if I can be disciplined enough to wake at my normal hour, I can work out in Bellevue and hit the morning chiropractor session afterwards. I worked out Friday at OryCon, and I felt great the rest of the night and through the next day. So I’m thinking at the very least, I’d like to start walking again. The extra 3-4 miles I was getting in Downtown Bellevue to and from the chiropractor is missing from my routine now, and I can feel its absence keenly.
I did not post on Thursday, even though I have a great deal more to be thankful for than in recent years. I was being thankful for them, in fact.
One of those things is the incredible shrinking me. Went pants shopping yesterday, and 33s are now a bit of a joke. The pair of jeans I have at that size fit, and fit well, but I can grab an inch or so of material should I care to. I tried on 8 different pair at the Buffalo Exchange, and settled on two that were snug and tight. I put back a pair that I really liked, because it had lots of extra material involved in its snugness, and I could grab more than a little air.
The funniest part of the entire day was when I found the PERFECT leather jacket. Black, stylish, with a zip-out liner. And cheap, to boot.
The problem?
It’s an XL, and hangs on me like a circus tent. Needless to say, I did not buy it.
But I wanted to.
Tomorrow with more news.
