A relief, of sorts
Last night’s headache was merely a precursor to this mornings congestion, sore throat and low grade fever.
Yay me
Hydrating at home today, which gives me a chance to clean the house some. I’ve been seriously neglecting it over the last several weeks, as January was hella crazy. It’s mainly dishes and straightening that needs doing, but doing them is something I need.
Plus, it lets me experiment with the whole situps thing. I got in another 100 yesterday, moving the one day total to 350. And beleive it or not, that was the easy part. the 250 side crunches I did yesterday were a real killer. I don’t intend to up those any, but If I can pull off 50 SU an hour in my convalescence today (an eminently doable task, since it takes me 1/60th of that time to do them normally), I’ll be halfway there.
Crazy, I know. But with the body shutting down to repel boarders, I’m going to be eating as it dictates. A freind pointed out over the weekend that one of the real benefits to being and eating healthy is that when it comes to mealtime, your body knows exactly what it wants. last night, I had planned on steaming up a nice bag of veggies and taking a slow bottle of wine to bed with me. However, while in the store a prepared bowl of pasta and meat triggered the “protien and carbs dangerously low” alarm, necessitating a change in plan.
and even then, I had to chase it with two turkey dogs once I got home.
Today, it’s fluids. But it won’t be enough, so I’m holding the veggies in reserve, as well as yummy fish, the remaining turkey dogs, and all the lunch meat I somehow did not find the time to consume this weekend.
And fluids. Nevar forget.
