Or, “How I did 476 (more) situps in 30 minutes.”
I thought I felt good at 5 PM. I feel absolutely fantastic now. Seth joked that my tombstone would read, “999, he won’t sit up no more.”
1001, and I feel I could do another round, if I wanted to.
Carbs are a wonderful thing.
For the first time since I started this, I count this last session as “vigorous exercise”. I started to sweat around 800 total, and the heart rate finally elevated past 100 bpm in the last century, and then back down again on the last push.
A few years ago while visiting Puck, he tried to get me out playing Hockey with his group. “Your body remembers, dude!”
Joe, you were totally right. I’m not running a marathon any time soon, I’m not hopping on a bike and riding 100 miles to morrow.
Hell, I’m not even going to do 1000 situps. I think.
But my body indeed remembers. Walked two miles extra this morning coming into work, and wasn’t out of breath at all. Still can’t run, but my wind is getting a lot better when I dance, and there are times when I just want to MOVE.
Right now is not one of them. Most of my body feels like lead. A long, hot shower worked the kinks out, and I’m now ready to rest. I think I’ll sleep well tonight.
There is all sorts of happy in my life.
