revisited

Got all of that one.

Started the day at a dehydrated 183, 5 lbs down from a dehydrated Monday start at 188.

Had responsible breakfast, responsible lunch, and then dangerous dinner.

For Esteban and I were at the Icon Grill. The Butternut Squash soup and Chicken fingers ( rom which I responsibly removed the deep fried breading) were not quite Lean Ground turkey. But Close.

The Texas Funeral Cake Cupcake certainly was not responsible. Especially since it was served with a big scoop of Vanilla Ice cream, and a dollop of Hot Fudge. Also, looks and tastes exactly like a Hostess (C) cupcake.

Go figure.

By the way, YUMM!

It’s okay, says I. Starting again on Monday. My plan was to do days 1-7, then jump right back to day 1. this would end the cycle right around Norwescon, where I intend to be…Epic.

So, the three glasses of 14 hands Cab-sav I had with dinner were a good start.

It’s Poker night, you see. Have to be in the right frame of mind.

Entered the evening 22 units up lifetime. Tonight was a small field of participants, and we expected that it might go fast.

But a little faster than I had expected. Esteban was out after an hour of play, and a few bad calls had me out just before 9. But not until I collected 5 units, which leaves me “up” for the evening, and still possessed of both cash and time to rendezvous with the Kids at Brouwers, down in Fremont, center of universe.

The 3 Glasses of Shiraz were an excellent Idea, if I do say so myself.

At Brouwers, I use my people skills to secure us half of a table, alongside a nice gentleman ans his date. They soon leave, frightened away by the two glasses of Scotch that Steve and I have acquired.

Each.

Water, water is our friend. Also, time for a nice salad. The Miltons are trying a vegan kick for a while, so a baby spinach salad tossed with a light vinaigrette is an excellent idea. I have mine with Chicken, since Chicken is clearly indicated on he menu.

Also, about two gallons of water.

Sadly, they have no dessert worth eating. there were several on the menu, but none were as tasty as the next glass of scotch.

Grahame was a casualty, and nattered off to sleep in th car. I share some second hand smoke with a couple folks, but in the long run, water is our friend. Steve left around 11 ish, and we all cut out (ostensibly for some mystery bar on Cap hill) at 1:30. Once we were in the car, though (SHOTGUN), It’s all about Casa de Bhagwan.

So, here I sit. Fresh from the shower, still drunk (more or less), and a dehydrated 181 lbs.

Life, it is good.

Drink your water, kids. It’s important.
