Game 5
Pretty much sums it all up. But this was some damn fine hockey. After having spent the day with a friend, I ambled up the road to Seattle Center, taking in such marvelous sights as the Arcade, and the Science Fiction Museum. Good stuff, but I’m not yet ready to become a member.
So, a fake margarita beverage and I are in the seat before the puck drops. A little right of center tonight, but better than being stuck behind the glass with teenage girls. Instead, I am treated to the inane and puerile rantings of the two rows of morons behind me.
Who also know nothing about Hockey. It used to be that folks that attended sporting events knew something about the sport in question? Know, they seem to know somebody who knows, and that person couldn’t make it tonight.
I need to take some sports fans to the games with me. It made baseball season something special to have that seat full more often than not, and I kinda miss my companionship from last year’s T-Birds season.
Not too much, mind you. But it’s there.
T-birds are now 3-0 with me in attendance. We’ll need to keep that going, I’m thinking.
