The Importance of being Bhagwan
So here’s my Wednesday.
After a modest 10 hours in the Pit (on orders, which I have been following diligently and will indeed disobey today), T
Yes, it still counts as work.
For those keeping score, I’ve doubled my spend so far, and now have a significantly improved gaming platform. Also, I effectively have a pretty serviceable laptop/portable, when you consider the concepts of flash drives, and the capabilities of my existing mobile phone.
Which, btw, I no longer have any need to upgrade.
So earlier in the day, I had made arrangements with a Craigslist denizen to upgrade my phone. He was selling a memory card that was 4 times larger than the one I use. I’m at the theoretical limit for the card that >should< be used in my device, but for hte price, its worth a trip to Ballard to find out.
Back at the temple, I fix myself a modest third meal of pastrami. I did not accquire bread for this hypothetical sandwich, because I really didn’t want any around the house. I’ll need some for the weekend, but I have a cunning plan on that score. So I ate the meat on its own, along with a delicious pinapple fruit bar to hook me up with the needed fiber.
But something was missing, and that thing was more carbs/flavor/Something.
Enter The Good Rum.
This stuff still kicks my ass, and just one glass is enough to carry me through the rest of the evening. No carbs, no fat, just taste.
heaven.
So an hour later, I float my way on up into Ballard. After making a quick stop at the Quick Stop (more new gum, yay), I begin calling for my after action. e
Sadly, the card will not work. but hey, no biggie.
I’ve got rum. And I’m in Ballard, so I make a couple no pressure calls to the Jennifers (
A Stereo Cabinet.
on the corner
With a sign
FREE.
Plus, it’s 40 feet from the bus stop.
And not too heavy
And in great shape.
And the right color.
SOLD.
Id, Ego, and SUPEREGO are all in agreement, we are done for the night.
We muscle it over to the stop, and content ourself withthe DS experience while we wait. Once on the Chariot, we treat my new freinds as if they were handicapable, and we head back over the bridge. Along the way, we further spy one of the Js, and exchange a smile moment.
Crossing 15th with a large cabinet is tricky. but doable. A quick edit of the front room shows that it will not only fit, but that I have eyeballed its dimensions correctly. I move one couch, and reset the entertainment experience with the motor running.
Everything works.
It is a good thing.
the casa is one purchase of bookshelves away from a full housewarming. Mark your calendars for the 11th of August, we’re going to do it up.
