Morning’s work
Armed with yesterday’s revalations, I dug into Acts I and II. pushing, expanding and tweaking somewhat until it truly is a short First Draft.
I wrote another 1000 words or so, but the most important change was finalizing a sales outline. Doing so identified two chapters that needed to split, so there are now twelve main chapters. I’ve recompiled the Submission document, and have something I feel comfortable showing around this week.
I also have my work notes for the 5 chapters that now need to be expanded. I’ll be taking the Black notebook with me on the road, and plan to roll back into Seattle next week able to finish it.
This afternoon I will do the same for Book Two. The final chapter is still blocked as stage directions, but that’s the only real “missing” area right now. I’ll have my notes for changes ready before I play video games tonight, along with a full sales outline for that volume, and a second submission document.
Being an Editor is fun. Why did I stop doing this again?
Oh, Yeah. No money in it.
Needs sandwiches now. Fruit was over 5 hours ago. Day 8 calls me forth into the world again, and I dare not refuse it. did shopping after my shower this morning, so I’m good for most thing until we leave Wednesday night.
Rather like writing, really…
