Off!

In roughly one hour’s time, I’ll be boarding a shuttle to the airport. In roughly 4 hours, my plane will take off, landing in Phoenix 3or 4 hours later. And then, I travel to glorious Indianapolis, Indiana.

I’m not taking a computer with me. At least, not one of my own.

This means 2 things for the next 6 days. A: no blogging (although I will be taking my passwords along, just in case a keyboard and CPU present themselves) and B: No CITY OF HEROES.

Deep, calming breaths.

I’ll get by, I’ve done it many a time.

But Gencon used to be a fun part of my work year. This time around, I’m not expecting fun while working. I don’t play our games, and more importantly, don’t want to. I know games, gamers, and tournaments quite well, though, and I’ll be pointy-haired manager for the next few days.

Joy.

If you are planning on attending, I’ll be the guy in the Maroon Bowling Shirt, looking desperate and sad. Come see me. Or, better yet, get me out of the shirt, and into the bar. Because that IS fun.

Or, at least it used to be.
