Food time

Specifically, the preparation and consumption of.

I have written previously that It generally takes me longer to eat my meals than to cook them. In fact, at least three meals I prepare each day take about 2 minutes to “cook” and the 4th no more than 10 minutes.

A side effect of this efficiency is that I am more likely to postpone a meal when I am “busy” with some activity which, on average, takes “less” time. And by time, I also mean “effort.”

Like getting up from my chair or couch, out of bed, etc.

At times, this is to my benefit, since Human beings int eh United States tend to not actually be hungry at meal times, but instead are thirsty (i.e. dehydrated). But it is also to my detriment, since “drinking water” is a 0-time cost activity for me. It is instinctual, and will happen as long as there is a glass of something in front of me.

There is not now, nor has there been one for many hours. There is one, and two, and many in the other room.

You know, the place where the food is.

Mealtime, now. More crazy later.
